d3t welcomes Jamie Cooper-Beaumont, Associate Artist
27th Jan 2022
Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?
Having had an early desire to get into the Games Industry, I started learning about game development early on starting at Priestley College, before later going to Falmouth University. Both were great experiences, which have allowed me to pursue my passion for a career in game art.
Why d3t?
d3t offers me the amazing opportunity to work on multiple titles from different companies around the world. This experience therefore makes it a brilliant place for someone like me to work at who has the desire to constantly learn and improve.
What do you love about games?
I love the incredible worlds that are created, each that is designed to be full of life, whilst also being open to exploration – I love witnessing environments as I make my way through the story/narrative.
What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?
I am currently chipping away at a few RPG games such as The Witcher 3 and Dying Light, but in my spare time I mostly play competitive shooters such as Valorant and Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
However, my favourite game would have to be Call of Duty: World at War, as it was the game that first gave me the burning desire to want to create games myself.
Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?
I love to experiment with different types of art and have recently been diving further into concept art.
