    THE ROLE – GRAPHICS PROGRAMMER

    • Design and program graphics engine components and shaders for PC and next generation consoles.

    Essential

    • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
    • Strong knowledge of HLSL/GLSL shader programming languages.
    • Experience in GPU debugging and graphics bug fixing.

    • Experience of rendering hardware and implementing some modern rendering techniques e.g. screen-space post-processing effects, ambient occlusion, shadows, reflections, modern specular lighting reflectance models.
    • Excellent 3D math skills (linear algebra, vector math).

    THE ROLE – ANIMATOR

    We are seeking an enthusiastic Animator to join our growing animation team. You will be responsible for creating and improving a diverse range of in-game and cinematic animations, for a beloved AAA action-adventure project.

    We require a motivated professional with a keen eye for detail, a fundamental understanding of character animation and a passion for video games.

    You will be required to be a creative animator as well as a problem solver, with good technical knowledge of your craft, including experience with current animation software such as Maya and 3DS Max. As an animator at d3t, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the team on improving the animation and art pipelines which will include keeping up to date with industry practices and software.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accurately follow pre-defined animation styles to create high quality animations.
    • Assist with the improvement and creation of animations within the cinematics.
    • Work as part of a game development team working alongside character artists, riggers and technical artists.
    • Assist with both technical and creative problem solving and help streamline workflows.
    • Take full ownership of assigned tasks, working within technical constraints, testing and debugging.

    THE ROLE – ART DIRECTOR

    The Art Director will be central in shaping our growing Art Team at d3t. It is a hands-on role overseeing multiple projects, inspiring the artists with your vision and passion for creating the most beautiful game artwork possible. We work with very high-profile clients on amazing game titles, and so the quality of the artwork is critical to satisfying and retaining their loyalty.

    DUTIES

    • Provide clear, concise visual direction and guidance across all Art development at d3t and review all digital assets, providing feedback in a timely manner.
    • Share your passion for excellence, create inspiring artwork/style guides to clearly promote the visual quality standards we are aiming for and ensure that everyone is working in creative cohesion to meet these standards.
    • Continually look for opportunities to innovate and improve the visual quality on all projects.
    • Take an active role in planning of project pitches and be comfortable dealing face to face with publishers and other clients to discuss working with them on their games.
    • Help to build and raise the profile of the growing art team.
    • Mentor Artists in the team providing support and nurturing to encourage their continued growth and helping to improve their skills and build their knowledge.
    • You will be driving the vision forward by contributing on project artwork to inspire and guide the other Artists.
    • Oversee and provide detailed feedback to multiple art disciplines including 2D, 3D, Lighting, VFX, Animation and Concept Art.

    THE ROLE

    With the appropriate training, instruction and guidance, you will be working alongside our qualified professionals in Technical Support and will be involved in:

    • Supporting desktop PC’s and laptops
    • The installation of PC hardware
    • Responding to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner
    • Checking and maintaining computer hardware such as keyboards, mice etc.
    • Installing, configuring and managing software and their functions according to specifications

    THE JOB – JUNIOR TECHNICAL ARTIST

    Our Junior Technical Artists help bridge the gap between the artist and programmers. They are involved in learning and ensuring the art content and features are easily created and integrated into the game, while respecting the artistic vision and technical constraints of the project.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible with the Technical Artists for maintaining project art pipelines from inception and throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Assist with maintaining and integrating in-house toolsets.
    • Assist with maintaining a good coding standard and attend regular reviews of work.
    • Support the internal and external art team’s requirements.
    • Adhere to schedules and promptly feedback any concerns regarding all aspects of the project
    • Ensure all artwork adheres to guidelines regarding naming conventions, texture layering structures etc.
    • Undertake relevant on-the-job training where required.
    • Keep up to date with industry advancements and technologies and share knowledge with the art team.

    REQUIREMENTS

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Write, update and maintain new and existing projects across all major platforms and languages
    • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver features to deadlines
    • Create and assist with code reviews
    • Take ownership of systems and features
    • Mentor and guide more junior team members
    • Line Manage Junior and mid-level programmers.

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least 7 years’ experience working in a programming position
    • Fluent in multiple programming languages including C/C++
    • Relevant experience as a team leader.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS

    • Excellent Problem-solving
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
    • Be open-minded Work both autonomously and proactively
    • Experience in games development and passion for games
    • A technical bias, with an interest in getting stuck-in to difficult problems every day

    DESIRABLE SKILLS

    • Low-level experience working with rendering technology such as DirectX or OpenGL
    • Experience developing rendering technology such as a shadowing, reflections, depth of field, etc.
