d3t welcomes Bruno Pashaj, Associate Technical Artist

9th Dec 2021

Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?

After I finished my Diploma in Italy, I decided to go abroad and pursue my dream of working within the games industry and making new experiences.

I studied and graduated from GCU in Glasgow whilst working as a graphic designer and other secondary jobs. When I wasn’t working, I was continually crafting my skills in both 2D and 3D art. I have also worked as a customer support agent within the games industry.

Throughout my time studying, I loved immersing myself and creating games in game jams and during my projects. I am now excited to start working at d3t and getting to know the great team that they have.

Why d3t?

I chose d3t because I’ve been following their work for quite a while and was amazed by the team’s incredible talent. I respect the values and their work ethic; plus, the anti-crunch ethos is immensely valuable, especially within the games industry.

During the interview the team were lovely, helpful, and very understanding.

It seems unreasonable to not choose working with amazing people on amazing titles don’t you think so? And d3t offers me the opportunity for this.

What do you love about games?

As a gamer, I love the emotions that are created within players when we experience each game. The interaction and immersion is so unique and almost unmatchable from any other form of media entertainment.

As a developer, I look at how game development has improved, and which techniques have been used to achieve the intended results. I love the technicalities and it is crazy how many talented people there are within this amazing industry!

What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?

I’m currently playing Bloodborne and Hollow Knight for the story. When I’m with friends we play many other games in rotation based on what we would like to do.

It’s always difficult to pick a single title, but if I must pick, I’ll pick the Jak and Daxter trilogy out of nostalgia; I grew up playing those games.

Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?

I’m a bit of a completionist, that’s what also makes me want to explore every bit of a game and see where the developers pushed their designs, alongside trophies and challenges that will test my skills.

I also have many hobbies, too many perhaps!

I love music and sports. I have also played guitar for many years and it’s still my main instrument. I secondarily play piano; a bit of violin and I have just started trying the clarinet. I also compose OST and sounds. My additional passions include playing football, going hiking and exploring. I have tried surfing and I have also started bouldering two months ago as well. Oh, and I also love driving.
