Tell us a bit of information about your experience/career background?
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Swansea University. During my time there I developed an interest in computer graphics and game engine development, which then prompted me to do a masters in High-Performance Graphics and Game Engineering at the University of Leeds.
Why d3t?
d3t provides an opportunity to work on a wild variety of projects. It is also known for having a good working culture and that the studio cares deeply for its staff. The people I talked to are friendly and fun, and it feels like a good environment to work with. Considering all of this, I’m extremely excited to join the team and to begin contributing on a range of cool and exciting projects.
What do you love about games?
When I was a child, I loved games because of how fun they are to play. Now though I am fascinated by cinematics cutscene/gameplay. I also firmly believe that games are the future of good storytelling due to the interactive nature of them – allow you to choose and play different storylines depending on the choices that you have made along the way.
What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?
I am currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the second time. I love the meaningful message that the game is trying to tell. It also has a beautiful story, characters, and soundtrack.
My all-time favourite game series, however, would have to be the Resident Evil franchise.
Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?
A little hobby of mine is that I enjoyed listening to soundtracks – in fact I frequently spent countless hours listening to them.
