Liverpool’s Digital & Creative Board appoints Phil Owen

27th Mar 2020

Liverpool City Region’s Digital & Creative Board has made a series of new appointments from the digital and creative sector. This includes companies specialising in video game technology, Internet of Things (IoT) and Immersive Tech.

Among the new board members we have our very own Phil Owen, Head of Engineering as well as key players from Facebook Inc, ITV and Little Sandbox. Phil has a passion and commitment to growing the sector and looks forward to contributing to the Board and driving forward their actions.

The Board, established by the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), on behalf of the City Region brings a variety of experiences and insights to make informed decisions on topics such as skills, business support, place and policy across the digital, creative, commercial and academic sectors to accelerate the City Region’s global position in the digital and creative industries.

“I believe I am ideally suited for the Digital and Creative Board having spent my career, which spans 26 years, in the computer games industry in the North West. I would hope to bring a fresh insight and fresh thinking, with the goal of influencing and strengthening creativity within the Liverpool area and beyond.”

Phil Owen, Head of Engineering

The Board meets several times a year to discuss the digital & creative future of the Liverpool Region and surrounding local authorities. We’re looking forward to the rest of the year and helping to steer growth in the region.
