d3t welcomes Cameron Hooton, QA Tester

Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?

Last year I graduated from Birmingham City University with a First in BSc (Hons) in Music Technology, however, during my placement year I discovered the world of QA Testing.

Why d3t?

Because d3t is a co-development studio, it means that I will have the opportunity to work on games across multiple different genres and platforms.

I know a couple of people within the QA Team from when I did my university placement, which leads me to understand that d3t is extremely friendly and is a great place for me to develop and grow at.

What do you love about games?

I love games that are immersive, especially when they are open-world. I also love strategy games because they are mentally stimulating, and I like the challenge.

What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?

Currently I am playing Path of Exile. Although, more recently I’ve been getting into the world of Sim Racing with games like Assetto Corsa and iRacing.

However, my favourite game of all time is Path of Exile, primarily because the large skill tree allows many different characters and builds to be made in combination with different gear and skill gems.

On top of the build diversity, I’d also have to say that the complex crafting, strategic mechanics, and boss fights can’t be matched within the genre of ARPG.

Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?

My passions are in audio, networking and of course video games!
