Tell us a bit of information about your experience/career background?

I’m a UI Artist who has come over from 4J Studios where I had spent just over a year working on Minecraft “Mash-up” packs and our own IP. 4J Studios are known for their work on the console edition of Minecraft. Through my study of Product Design, I had built a foundation of knowledge on User Experience and User Centred Design. I combined this with my interest/hobby of art to jumpstart my career as a UI Artist.

Why d3t?

d3t is simply a great studio to work for. I have only heard great things about the company, and this is reinforced by the many rewards showcased on the company website.

I believe that working here will allow me to learn so much more and will enable me to take on new and exciting challenges. The studio works on so many great titles and I can’t wait to get involved.

What do you love about games?

For me it’s all about the challenge and creativity. I love games that give me entire worlds to explore and intricate systems to experiment with. I have a habit of being a bit of a completionist in every game that I play. If there is something for me to have, then I want it! I’m always trying to build the most complex builds, collect every piece of loot, unlock the toughest achievement. I love sinking my time into games that allow you to play through the same game but in loads of vastly different ways.

What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?

I’m currently playing through Resident Evil 8 (which I’m loving) and started another playthrough of Fallout 4 a while back. I have also sunk countless hours into League of Legends.

If I was to pick 3 games that I could completely forget and get to experience for the first time again, it would have to be Resident Evil 4, Dark Souls, and Risk of Rain.

Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?

I have gotten into Warhammer over the last year and that has become a big hobby of mine. I also occasionally play a little bit of DnD (the forever DM) but also watch the NFL whenever I can. I also have a habit of re-watching The Office, probably more often than I should. I’m also a big fan of horror films, the slashers and the awful ones in particular.
