Last year, d3t linked up with Young Addaction Halton to support the fantastic work they do within our community. Based at Grangeway Youth Centre, YA Halton offers a specialist drug & alcohol service for young people 10-19 years.
YA Halton delivers a specialist service helping young substance misusers on a one-to-one basis. This runs alongside education, early intervention and harm reduction, which is aimed at schools, colleges and the wider community.
The centre also delivers a wide range of programmes including the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Amy Winehouse Resilience Programme, Halton Integrated Youth Provision and the Mayor’s Awards. Advice and signposting to other support agencies means that the centre has become a one-stop-shop for many young people in the area.
At Christmas we decided to make a cash donation to the centre, in lieu of sending cards. We also offered the centre the d3t pool table – which appears to have been well received! Our General Manager, Richard Badger and Technical Director, Andy Booth dropped by for a game…
Many thanks to the Young Addaction team and of course to the young people there – who completely trounced us on the pool table!
d3t has announced the appointment of Sarah Wenham as Office Manager. Sarah brings to d3t a wealth of experience, in both customer facing and management roles, gained during her 11 years with Lloyds Banking Group.
With a strong customer service background, Sarah was promoted to senior positions in Staff Training and then in Operations. But when she saw d3t’s Office Manager role advertised on their website she knew that was where she wanted to be. Sarah explains,
I have managed teams, worked on a wide range of projects and managed senior management communications, all in a corporate environment. But the time was right for a new challenge and I knew I wanted to get into technology. It’s a fast-paced, exciting sector and d3t has a proven record of delivering right at the cutting edge.
Applying for her first external job in 11 years, Sarah submitted her CV and was invited to complete a capability test based on the role, followed by two face-to-face interviews.
It’s quite a tough recruitment process, but despite its size, d3t has a really supportive feel to it and I was put at ease throughout.
Sarah oversees the whole of the d3t admin operation, leading the office team and maintaining communications throughout the company. d3t is a diverse technology company with a strong gaming background which appeals to Sarah, as gaming is a major hobby.
Not only can I utilise the skills I’ve built up over the past 11 years, but I get to see new advances in gaming on a daily basis!
Commercial Director Jamie Campbell said,
Sarah is fantastic asset to d3t. We have seen a steady expansion, particularly over the last 12 months, and from day one Sarah has worked to improve and streamline our internal systems. Sarah’s recent appointment, along with that of our General Manager, puts d3t in a very strong position for continued growth.
d3t is a Cheshire-based work-for-hire software development company and will be celebrating their fifth anniversary on 13th July 2016.
d3t today announced the appointment of Financial Director, Paul Coburn.
In this newly created role, Paul will head up the Finance Team at the company’s newly acquired, state-of-the-art headquarters in Cheshire.
With a wealth of finance experience, Paul specialises in working with software development companies and brings with him expertise in implementing best practice, minimising risk and maximising opportunity within the sector.
About his appointment, Paul said:
d3t’s a completely revenue grown company and performance has been excellent to date. We’re now at the stage to take the business to the next level and benefit from what I do best – maximising business opportunity while retaining the competitive advantage.
I find the best way to understand a company and get the most in terms of performance is to get to know the people and the culture. You don’t get that by sitting in an office behind a closed door, so I’m a great believer in getting on the shop floor to meet the team.
Commenting on the new appointment Commercial Director, Jamie Campbell added:
Paul’s a fantastic asset to d3t and we’re delighted to have him on board. We know we’re in a strong position – and with Paul’s expertise we’ll be pushing growth by delivering our world class services to even more clients.
The appointment marks a new phase in the growth of the software development company, which will be celebrating five years of success this July.
Since its founding in 2011, d3t’s unique, purely work-for-hire business model has been proven to work and is increasingly popular with clients. This year alone d3t has seen major projects, many with global names, come to fruition and their team more than double to 30.
