d3t Programmer Wins Coveted BCS Award

12th Apr 2016

d3t is today celebrating the news that one of their Programmers has won the coveted BCS sponsored departmental award for his MSc Computer Science degree at the University of Hull.

Alex Rodgers completed his MSc degree course in Computer Science and received news of his win this weekend.

“I am delighted to have received the award, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time studying at Hull which has helped provide me with invaluable knowledge and skills to use in industry.”

Alex’s dissertation project involved the development of a prototype capable of generating 3D worlds for use in an RPG game, featuring sophisticated procedural noise algorithms, agent-based dungeon generation techniques and his own DirectX 11 engine.

d3t is a growing work-for-hire software development company. Having more than doubled their workforce in the last year alone, Commercial Director Jamie Campbell said, “We are incredibly proud of Alex’s achievement. We pride ourselves on the calibre of all of our developers – and Alex’s win demonstrates we really do recruit the best and most innovative out there.”

d3t has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2011 and the award winning company is always on the lookout for great talent.
