23rd Jun 2022

Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?

I spent a lot of my time during college volunteering as a video game journalist, and not only did I meet so many people in the industry in this position, but it is also where my love for the craft bloomed. Since then, I have spent the last three years studying Games Design BA at the University of Suffolk where I have learnt so many skills on the journey, as well as the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. I also love to take part in as many game jams as I can, with the aim of building up my portfolio but also to mainly just have fun!

Why d3t?

To me, d3t is a family and I thought that I would fit in well. The work ethics, the flexibility, and the friendliness of everyone is what sold me. Also, things will always be exciting and interesting in the studio as d3t works on a variety of projects.

What do you love about games?

I love that games can be more than just fun. With my recent research for my dissertation, I have learnt that games can be built to help people with a multitude of things. The technology is constantly growing, and its growing fast so there is always something new and exciting around the corner.

What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?

I am always finding new games to play with my friends. I consistently play Destiny 2 and its definitely on my list of favourites, but I have also recently been playing games like Phasmophobia, Human Fall Flat, Surgeon Simulator 2, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with my friends.

Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?

I am a massive petrolhead. I love going to car shows, go-karting and working on my car which is a 1990 Mazda Mx5 (Japanese Import) and I can’t wait make it look good (and repair all the rust lol). I also enjoy automotive photography and I have met some really cool people along the way at car shows because of it.
