d3t welcomes Michael
23rd Dec 2019
Experience / Career Background
I went to University of Bolton and received my degree in Complete Software Development and then spent 3 years at TT Games and 2 years at Lucid Games, both in QA roles.
Why d3t?
I’ve always wanted to get into production and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. I’ve been reading a lot about the studio online in regards it’s current awards, seemed like a very interesting place to work at and expand my knowledge.
What was the recruitment process like?
It was great, very laid back. It made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, I didn’t feel any pressure, felt like sitting down with a few friends for a chat.
Fun fact about yourself / hobby / specialism/ driving force:
I enjoy playing games in my free time, if and when I get it, I currently have a new-born as well as a 3yo so most of my time is focused on that. They are my driving force, if I can keep my family happy then I’m happy!
I used to play on a semi professional League of Legends team called Digital Warfare, had to move my focus as this was around the time my first son was born. I’m very much interested in e-sports as well as playing D&D and any D&D focused games (Baldur’s Gate / Pillars of Eternity). I like to attend events such as Insomnia / PlayExpo / EGX, I’ve shown off a few games in the past at the indie section before as well as attending as a member of the public.
