d3t welcomes Prince Hussain, Programming Intern
1st Jun 2022
Please detail a bit of information about your experience/career background?
I’ve always loved seeing people build their games from the ground up as well as seeing devlogs being made too. It is this combination that then inspired me to want to make the jump myself. I started out with YouTube tutorials and using Unity, before then attending university to pursue a degree in Computer Science, where I have further developed my skills and passions.
Why d3t?
d3t’s work ethics and ethos greatly aligns with my own, pushing me to want to work somewhere safe but also fun, as well as being able to switch things up with the numerous genres of games that the studio is working on is a luxury that I can’t wait to experience.
What do you love about games?
Games are a great way to de-stress (mostly) after a long day, and they bring about socialising with your friends in a fun and cooperative way when you can’t physically. And you can’t forget the worlds that are crafted; the time and effort put into those worlds is amazing and the end results always leaves me excited to see what others can make.
What games are you currently playing, and what is your favourite game?
Currently, I am playing Rune Factory 5 on my switch as well as Borderlands 3 with some friends. But if I had to pick an all-time favourite game, it would have to be the Kingdom Hearts series, I really loved all the different games such as Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, but out of all of them Kingdom Hearts 2 must be on top, as it’s the one I grew up playing and the one that began my love with the series.
Do you have any fun facts or hobbies?
For a fun fact about me, I love to make miniature models, such as Gundam’s or Lego sets; things that get me to use my physical creative skills.
As for hobbies, I enjoy drawing/painting as well as going out into nature to take in the scenery and look at the local wildlife as I love animals.
