Introducing Adam Faiers Junior Programmer
22nd Oct 2018
Adam Faiers joined the d3t team as a Junior Programmer on 17th September 2018. Adam tells us a bit more about himself…
Tell us about your background and experience prior to d3t?
Student research assistant at Bournemouth University. I worked on a couple of projects related to VR simulations. The first attempted to recreate a highly controlled laboratory environment in VR, with real-time data fed in so that the equipment could be remotely monitored without disruption to experiments. The second was a police training tool to aid in the teaching of correct Stop and Search procedures.
Why d3t?
d3t offered me the ability to develop my skills and continue to improve as a programmer by providing a wide range of projects.
What was the recruitment process like?
Very painless. I was originally put in contact with d3t through a recruitment company. The programming test provided me a good opportunity to show off my skills in an actual game scenario (not like those annoying timed programming questions) and the interviewers were very friendly and relaxed. Once I’d been offered a position the team were very helpful and answered any questions I had.
Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.
Ever since I knew what programming was it’s been my dream to make games, I’m finally beginning to fulfil that dream thanks to the team at d3t.If you want to join our talented team, why not check out our vacancies?
