Sarah Newell Joins d3t as Senior Programmer

Sarah Newell joined the d3t team as a Senior Programmer in September 2018. Sarah tells us a bit more about herself…

Tell us about your background and experience prior to d3t?

I started my career about 15 years ago as an intern programmer on a little-known brand called Harry Potter at EA. I then moved over to Criterion to work on an FPS before moving ‘up north’ in the UK to EA Warrington. Since then I’ve been mostly working on driving and racing games at EA, THQ, SONY Liverpool, Evolution and Codemasters.

Why d3t?

I’d been closely watching d3t grow since the start as I previously worked with the guys that set it up and the chance to work on such a variety of projects for a successful, award-winning team is really exciting.

What was the recruitment process like?

It was very smooth I came in for an informal interview and not long after was offered a job.

Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.

I have a young child so my hobbies these days are usually playing with Duplo, toy cars, watching cartoons, going to the park and failing to get enough sleep.

When I do get a bit of spare time I enjoy a good film or boxset and do manage to get out for a bit of pilates and a weekly pub quiz (not at the same time). On a very rare occasion I go karting and snowboarding. If you want to join our talented team, why not check out our vacancies?
